When she was in class 10, Mukta Barve made her acting debut with the Marathi play “Ghar Tighancha Asava.” She has a brother, Debu Barve who is a painter. Her father, Vasant Barve worked at a telecom company, and her mother, Vijaya Barve was a teacher in a school. She belongs to Deshastha Brahmin Family of Maharashtra. She did her Bachelor of Arts with Drama from Lalit Kala Kendra, Savitribai Phule Pune University. She did her schooling from Sir Parashurambhau College, Pune.
